sunday confession

we had a mandatory water conservation alert yesterday.

no showering, flushing, cooking,
washing dishes, laundry,
or drinking water.
until levels returned to normal.

i did not cook.
i did not wash dishes.
i did not do laundry.
i did not drink water.
three kids did not shower.

but...
i did take a shower.
so did mm.
i made coffee.

and we flushed.
at will.

hmm.
this is starting to sound
kind of like a normal day,
huh?

all kidding aside,
i think we could have done better,
and i feel a little guilty about it.
