give peace a chance

m is obsessed with peace signs.
well, they are everywhere,
it's kind of hard not to be.

she has peace signs on
every article of clothing,
even leotards,
every school supply,
even pencils,
they are all over her room,
and the whole house!

so i was making conversation with the
(insert popular girls' clothing store here)
clerk as i was checking out,
with yet another peace sign item,
"oh man, i can't wait until peace signs go out of style."

she stared at me like i had fourteen heads,
"how could you say that?  i would hope that peace will never be out of style!"

dang hippies.
